Competitors bringing their kayaks down to the beach prior to the 9am start. It had already begun to rain at this point.

Getting warm inside the store during one of the heavy downpours. Most people fortunately came well prepared with the proper rain gear.

The rain didn't stop the barbecue. Beth tends the grill for some wet, cold and hungry competitors.

A few paddlers ducked under this dock for some protection from an especially nasty squall. The 3 pound 5 oz Bass was actually caught right near this spot.
