78 kayak anglers entered the June 29th tournament. We had great weather and some great fishing too. Doug Yesensky entered the tournament for the 2nd time and beat an impressive field of past champions. Fishing from
his yellow Cobra Tourer, Doug caught 10 weighable fish for a 5 fish best of 8.3 pounds. A 1.9 lb Spotty was
the largest fish Doug caught, proving what Devin Harmon said on Friday night, catch at least five weighables, and
if you can get a few nice ones, you can win. You don't always need a 2-3 pounder to beat the field.
Ritchie Takatasuka just missed winning for the 2nd time and Matt Moyer finished third for the second time also.
Keith Martin caught the largest Bass in the tournament to take home the cash pool prize. Keith's big catch was a
  1. 68 pound Spotted Bay Bass good for $215. Ritchie Takatasuka also caught the most weighable fish. Considering how many competitors did not catch a single weighable fish, Ritchie's 16 legal size fish was pretty incredible. 78
registered anglers.....166 fish caught and released.

Congratulations to Doug for a great job on his 2nd attempt!

Thanks to Devin, Bryan Palle, Beth and all of the other volunteers who helped make this another successfull event. Note: no space for the text!
41 anglers with at least 1 weighable fish recorded. 78 entries. 73 started the event.
