| The Cobra Navigator is one of our all time best selling kayaks. The design features on the new Mariner are significantly different in regards to hull speed, tracking and stability. The Navigator has good initial stability but not a lot of secondary stability. The Mariner has excellent initial and secondary stability, making it both one of our fastest and most stable kayaks. Only the Fish n Dive has more stability and only the Expedition has more boat speed, but the Mariner has that rare combination of excellent tracking, speed and stability. We have had paddlers from 125 lbs to almost 280 lbs test paddle the Mariner and they have all been comfortable and stable. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

,Another great design feature of the Mariner is the deck layout...... the best of any kayak we have seen. The 10" round hatch and the large rectangle hatch are both within easy reach without leaving the seat area. There is a choice of a simple 2 handle 10" x 17" deck hatch or the larger 6 handle 11" x 23" giant hatch. There is even enough stability to access the "A" style front deck hatch by scooting forward in the cockpit. There are also ample flat areas to install up to 8 flush mount rod holders plus external rod holders, a fish finder and a gps. Every style of bait tank that we have tried fits great in the tank well and a raised accessory bar to hold a fish finder and rod holders will be available soon. |

The Tourer is 15' long and 28" wide compared to 14' 3" and 31" for the Mariner. The Mariner has a more spacious cockpit with both the round hatch and the large rectangle hatch within easy reach. The Mariner is a drier ride, is more stable and the deck space is much more accommodating to add rod holders, fish finders, etc. |
